I keep watching this over and over again. It’s just SO good! Video for Oi Va Voi “Everytime” by Katarzyna Kijek on Vimeo.
I love-love-LOVE these installations by Sarah Applebaum. How long does it even take to make one of these? I have no idea. It would probably take me decades, and then it wouldn’t look half as cool as these do. You can see more of her work on her site.

The front page of the Oakland Tribune this morning showed workers putting the finishing touches on Jack London Square’s newest murals. Craftzine’s blog also had more details about the project – the art is a form of lenticular murals composed of over 4,500 tiles – all handpainted! The tiles took 8 months to paint, and unfortunately I can’t seem to find any other pictures of this online – I really want to see the animation effect when viewing the piece from different angles. If anyone lives in Oakland, send us a photo so we can see the whole shebang!
Element Eden Advocate Lisa Solberg continues her “Upside Down World” series and leaves us awestruck with her third interpretation of the theme – they just keep getting better and better! Follow her on her blog here.
