Gearing up for two incredible days in Oregon with Element Advocate Amy Purdy!
Join us Tuesday in Corvallis and Wednesday in Bend to meet Amy in person and hear her incredible story… if that isn’t enough, we’ll also be hosting a styling competition, DIY craft and be handing out goody bags for all!
For all our friends unable to attend, be sure to stay tuned on our Instagram (@ElementEden)… we will definitely be clogging the feed ;D
Tune in live to hear Amy’s inspiring story and how loosing her legs unexpectedly at age 19 has only further helped her understand the power of resilience.
Amy now holds a world class title in Adaptive snowboarding and has moved on to start non-profit Adaptive Action Sports, encouraging others with permanent physical disabilities to also remain active in action sports.
“We all have disabilities. Just some are more visible than others. We all have challenges, we all have obstacles”
In part three of the Rise Above series, Amy Purdy, talks about non profit Adaptive Action Sports, and it’s mission to support youth and young adults with permanent physical disabilities through action sports programs. She hopes to change people’s perspectives on what it means to be able.
Amy Purdy intimately shares the struggle in overcoming the loss of her legs and what it took to set out in pursuit of her passion in snowboarding during part two in her Rise Above film series!

Our Element Advocate Amy Purdy is out there making a difference again, this time in a video interview for Adaptive Action Sports, the non-profit organization she co-founded to help youth and young adults with disabilities get involved with action sports.
When was the last time you stretched, I mean really really stretched?
This image inspires me like no other to move my body, to feel that deep stretch and get the blood pumping to my muscles. Eastern Philosophy believes that you are only as old as your body is stiff. They also believe that PRANA, the subtle life force that animates in all living things, circulates throughout your body when you stretch enhancing your wellbeing and overall health.
Fancy yoga moves aside, when was the last time you stretched?

I am loving what my grandparents decided to do with old rusted sardine cans!
They turned them into picture frames with photos of our ancestors and past relatives and hung them on the wall in their fishing cabin… next to vintage fishing rods, fishing lures and lights that are made from old bottles! Way to go Grandma and Gramps! Goes to show you can get crafty at any age!
PS: This photo is of my great grandmother (with a very stylish hat on I may add).
We know you all love a good adventure as much as we do… but we want to see it!!
Share with us a photo of your favorite outdoor escape and post to FACEBOOK.COM/ELEMENTEDEN with the caption “My Outdoor Adventure”
